Hey all, I’m starting a blog post series to write something every week around AI and some experiences worth sharing.
If you’re building things with AI tools day to day, the goal here is to save you some trial and error — what actually works, what doesn’t, and why, based on hands-on use rather than hype.
In most cases I’ll be writing it all by hand, doing research around the approaches rather than just presenting my own views — the goal is something grounded, not just opinion.
The basic setup I’ll be testing this around: Pi as my coding agent, with API access to Codex and Claude.
I’ll often be using Claude Code and Codex side by side — sometimes to compare them, sometimes just picking whichever works best for the task at hand.
I’m also fond of Shelley from Bold Software, and after discovering Pi I haven’t looked back. Most places I work I have terminal access, but Shelley is great when you need easier access via the web — I’ll write a separate post on that.
